Question 1:
Differentiate
between a natural and unnatural death with reference to the various
classifications (where applicable) of natural and unnatural deaths. (10)
Question 2:
The
skeleton of a human being is discovered in a desert.
2.1 Mention
and explain the post-mortem stages that would have already taken place prior to
body being discovered. (20)
2.2 Discuss the two basic principles used in
identification of bodies. (10)
Question 3:
A
man fell off his bicycle. The man injured his left shoulder and fractured the
shaft of his left femur. A day after the man was hospitalised he died. Discuss
the different complications of trauma and suggest what complication may have
resulted in his death. (20)

Discuss the appearance of a cutaneous
(skin) exit wound caused by a pistol that was fired at close distance. (10)

Discuss the effect of carbon monoxide poisoning on a
person’s body, the clinical presentation thereof as well as the likely
post-mortem findings. (10)

Clarify what is meant by battered-baby syndrome. In
answering the question you need to explain what factors commonly lead to
battered-baby syndrome as well as the injuries usually associated with such
